IntroductionArtscope is an exciting project that uses the arts as a means of education and personal development. It aims to increase an awareness of the arts through energetic and interactive programmes nationwide.
Artscope activities incorporate many mediums and are appropriate for all levels of development. It is our policy to be as inclusive as possible, therefore we offer a wide variety of packages which can be adapted to suit individual needs and resources. Programmes are of modular design and work well within daily timetables with workshops lasting from 45 minutes, right through to full day sessions. Under skilled guidance we offer relaxed and enjoyable experiences with emphasis on the increased awareness of the joys of creating. Between the period September 1999 to August 2000 an estimated 25,000 children experienced Artscope workshops nationwide. A a number of workshops have limited availability early booking is advisable. Caroline Wynne
A former second-level music teacher, Caroline founded Artscope in 1998. Her involvement in the arts includes her role as designer and facilitator of the second and third level programme of the Volger in Sligo residency, and a commission to devise a new music curriculum for the Leaving Certificate Applied in 2000.
Sally Maidment
Recipient of the Íontas Travel Award for Printmaking 2000 and the taispeántas Visual Art Award 1999. Has exhibited work in group exhibitions in Sligo, Limerick, Athlone, Belfast and Crozon, France.
