This is a classic 5-card, jacks-or-better video poker game, with a hi-lo gamble across the board option
if you get a winning hand. It's been an on-going project (on and off)
for the past year or two, and people seem to like it, so I'm putting it out on
the 'net for anyone who wants it.
And best of all
it's FREE, no time-limits, no nagging screens, and no salesperson will
call!
You're
free to use it, or give it to friends (or enemies,
depending on what you think of it ;). If you want to put the game on your website, I'd appreciate if you linked to
this page rather than posted the file (it'll always be
the latest version and I like to see who downloads it :) and if
you do link to it, please
let me know.
BTW: I'm also working on
a version of
Texas Hold'em - if you're interested in trying a beta version
(it's not quite finished yet!), you can find it
here.

How
to Play
There's a help file included within
the game (press F1 or click on the '?' Button) which
should explain the rules. If you want to read this help
file right now you can find it here (102k).

Installation
You'll need 'Winzip'™ (available as
shareware here) or similar file
extraction program to unzip it. Choose the 'Install'
option from within Winzip to install the game, or unzip
all the files to your hard drive and run 'setup.exe'.
It's got a full install and uninstall feature, so if you
don't want it on your system any more, use 'control panel
> add/remove programs' to uninstall it.
It
runs on any 32-bit MS Operating System for PC, with
minimum spec. (any old thing that has 16 colours and 1MB space). Just
try not to have any other
applications running at the same time that might slow down the reaction
times.
The
game has been tested on many systems, and it works fine -
but there could still be some bugs - so use at your own
risk. If it does behave badly, drop me a line
here, giving as much detail as
possible, and I'll try fix it, but if your computer dies, don't blame me
:)
