Please give a brief history of the band, including current line up.

Adi-bass
Erika-Vocals
Jon-drums
Warren-guitar

Murat was our original guitar player but chose to quit the band
and persue his rock n roll career.
we started off in march 2000 as the Relix after about a year changed the name to the NY Rel-X due to some stupid ass magazine trying to sue us for the name.. they were called Relix and were affiliated with music soooo.. we changed the name a little. Actually the same time of the name change we changed singers. ever since then we've toured and put out all our current releases. i guess that's it.

How did you get your (band)name?

Jon came up with it.. i have no clue why, it just sounded cool....

How would you describe the band?
punk-female vocals with sounds similar to bands like Vice Squad, Avengers and Violators...i think we have some 80's sounds to it a little hmmm i dont' know. just a mix of what we love.

What was the best time and worst time in the bands history?
or  while touring?

Well...the worst time, was the transition between JJ and Erika. was just had a lot of trouble with the ex-singer even when we continued with Erika, the problems only recently, the last couple of months went away. We're glad the drama finally stopped even though we actually thought it would never. Actually, we are starting to tour more and more and gather up some good stories. You'd have to find me and buy me a cider then i'll tell you the goodies.

Do you do any covers when you play live? or is there any songs you would love to cover if the opportunity arose?

we do Open Your Eyes by the Avengers, we used to do We are the One, we still every once in awhile do that if we feel like it. We do Emergency by Girl School, some may know it by Motorhead or Infa Riot, but the original is by Girl School. We've done Bored Teenagers by the Adverts. I'm dying to do Love in a Void by Souxsie and the Banshees but I can't convince anyone to do it. We'll probably end up doing more Avengers covers, I think that's the only thing we can agree on. hahahha!

What bands from the past have inspired you and do you have any favorite bands in the present punk scene?

from the past definitely TSOL, Souxsie and the Banshees, New Model Army, the Adicts, Avengers, Violators, Vice Squad (I love female vocals), Agent Orange. I'm very into the west coast punk aswell.
Todays punk scene.. yes i would definitely say Deadline, Midnight Creeps, 4Promille, Krays, Truents, Adolf and the Piss Artists and the Bodies, Roger Miret and the Disasters.

What is the Punk/Oi scene like in your area?

It's always changing, but right now it's alright. There are a bunch of bands starting up that are really good, for some reason a lot of people disappeared, but i'm sure the next wave will come along soon enough. Hopefully it's not with a bunch of assholes or retards.

what are the best and worst things about the current punk scene of today, in your opinion...

welll..that's easy, people think if they have a mohawk they are a punk and more punk than someone without. it seems very fashion orienated here. the kids think that's what it's about. whatever those are the people that disappear in a year or two anyways. the best hmmmm.. i can't even tell you

.

Do all the band members do other jobs as well as being in the band? If so, what?
Are any of you others involved in any other projects
outside of the band?

Jon plays in Roger Miret and the Disasters and the Krays, Erika works for a record distribution company and me I run punknite and yes i'm broke.

Any tours or releases planned?

we leave for california jan. 3rd for 10 days, we're touring with Lower class brats and total chaos. we are touring europe in may and june and playing holidays in the sun in morcambe amongst every great band.
